Is This Trip Right for You?

This moderately active program covers a fair amount of ground each day and gives you the opportunity to search for and perhaps view the Northern Lights. The included Northern lights tours, which run between two to five hours, depart between 9-10 PM often extend late into the evening and exact schedules depend on local weather conditions. Sightings cannot be guaranteed. Expect up to four hours walking every touring day. The pace is moderate, however you will encounter some uneven surfaces, stairs, and steps. The elevation in the National Park varies and may be a consideration for those who have heart conditions, or are otherwise affected by altitude. Keep in mind that winter in Alaska means snow, ice, and cold temperatures. Some venues are outdoors, so uneven and icy surfaces may be underfoot, therefore proper winter clothing and footwear are essential for your safety and comfort. Airport transfers are not included. Consider a taxi or shared ride service as the least expensive options. This is an Off Season program. For more information, click here.
