Is This Trip Right for You?
This value program provides the comfort of an escorted tour, with the freedom to explore on your own. Minimal inclusions plus a variety of optional excursions allow maximum customization. Tropical climate year-round makes Costa Rica an ideal location for your moderate to an activity-filled holiday, which may include zip-lining, hiking, swimming, sailing, wildlife viewing, beaches, hot springs, volcanoes and so much more. Accommodations suit the natural, biodiverse environment. Clean, comfortable lodges in regional colors and décor may have fan-cooled rooms or air-conditioning, depending upon location. Specifically, some hotels in Monteverde are built in the traditional local style and have no air-conditioning which may be uncomfortable during heat waves. Road travel will be picturesque and allow you to experience the uniquely "Costa Rican massage" of often unpaved, pot-holed roads providing the only access between cities. Expect uneven surfaces, stairs, steps, and significant slopes.
